Great Bowery Licensing’s Trunk Archive brand partnered with exclusive artist Ellen von Unwerth and famed streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club to release a limited-edition line of hoodies and tees on the same week as the premiere of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film.

The collaboration commemorates von Unwerth’s iconic 1994 “Real Barbie” shoot, starring supermodel and actress Claudia Schiffer as the doll personified.

Trunk Archive worked with Anti Social Social Club, von Unwerth, and Schiffer’s team to license two images from the 1994 shoot. Trunk Archive managed all aspects of the licensing and rights clearance to support the partnership.

Anti Social Social Club’s Ellen von Unwerth limited edition collection includes seven tees and five hoodies, in hues ranging from bubblegum pink and mint to black and white. After a series of teaser posts hinting at the collection, it was available for sale online at 8:00 AM PT the morning after the Barbie film premiere and was completely sold out within hours of its release.
