Mixed media artist Alice Isaac, represented by B&A Reps in the UK, created a series of artworks for the 2023 Mercury Prize. ​

Alice used source materials from the artists, who supplied her with images to pull from. She also delved into their music videos and albums as research before creating a series of collages, both fixed and rotating, of the twelve shortlisted artists and their albums. Alice pulled from the music’s underlying themes while using imagery that focuses on the culture behind the varying genres. The series is cohesive, although each artwork has a distinct aesthetic.
