B&A Hairstylist Miwako Urasugi recently debuted her showcase, “Hair: A Medium by Miwako,” in which she created a variety of familiar Japanese artifacts using hair. The showcase ran from December 4th to December 8th at Salon in Williamsburg. ​​

Miwako approaches hairstyling in a way that makes the hair as natural as possible, while slightly pushing creative boundaries. She wanted her conceptual showcase to express her Japanese culture through her love of hair, and it intertwines both things she loves most: being a hairstylist and her culture. In her own words, "I am so happy to have received such an opportunity to be able to show people the world of hair through my eyes! I plan to continue to show the world more interesting ways to look at hair that represents me." ​​
