Adidas commissioned B&A Illustrator Kgabo to illustrate poet, activist, and basketball player Asma Elbadawi for a campaign celebrating women in sports.

Kgabo not only created illustrations of the star, but she also illustrated her design on a basketball court on top of a fifty-five-floor building in the heart of Dubai. Kgabo flew to Dubai to work with the Havas Middle East team to figure out how to complete the illustration. They needed a helicopter to film the project and capture the sheer scale of the final piece.

Kgabo’s quick creative problem solving meant she was ready to face the challenge head on. She delivered digital illustration assets, the final illustrated basketball court, and a short form video showcasing the court’s artwork. This campaign will appear on Adidas’s digital platform.
