Photographer Jason Schmidt made an appearance at the 2023 Met Gala to photograph Jenna Ortega, Alexander Skarsgard, Teyana Taylor, Pusha T, Jenelle Monae, Daniel Ricciardo, Olivia Rodrigo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Sora Choi dressed head to toe in Thom Browne. A technical master who specializes in photographing groups, this is Jason’s second year photographing for Thom Browne at fashion’s biggest event of the year.​

Although the final image is one beautifully cohesive group shot, Jason actually photographed each star individually and compiled them in post to create the final image. Jason carefully planned all the details of the final image before shooting each celebrity, and his technical expertise rings loud and clear in the final image. A star in his own right, Jason fit right in on the red carpet, thanks to Thom Browne who also dressed and styled the photographer for the shoot.​
